ToK Moment

A the beginning of the year, when I started IB and ToK, I could relate almost everything to ToK class. I still can recall when I was once at a bookshop and saw a foreigner arguing with the cashier both not making any effort to understand what the other is saying. The cashier started to curse and whispered to me that he could not understand a thing while the foreigner was holding a fifty dollar bill and speaking unclear english. It was not the first time that I saw a foreigner arguing with a cashier. What directly came to my mind is a method about how we gain knowledge: laguage. If those two persons, specially the cashier took the time to understand the other person's "language" a lot of confusion would have spared. It ironically turned out that the foreigner was returning back the fifty dollar bill which has accidentally been given to him the previous day.
